How do i make my 1 and 1/2 year old miniature dachshund gain weight without t making her sick?
she has seen the vet and he says she is healthy, I know this breed is known for being overweight, but she is so skinny you can see all her back rips. the only food that she has ever eaten is Eukanuba dry dog food which was recomended by the store and breeder who apperently only fed her this aside from mother’s milk. I dont really give her 3 meals per day, instead i put her food out so she has food available to her at all times. BUT she only seems to eat when im home and ONLY if im standing or sitting by the food boul. ive tried standing there for a while,hand feeding her and even tricking her into thinking its a treat. I want to bulk her up a little without feeding her table food or any foods that will make her sick.
feed it puppy food…thats what i done when my dog got worms and she lost a lot of weight i fed her puppy food and now shes VERY healthy
