my dog ate cooking oil?

my dog ate cooled cooking oil that we fried fish in. i’m really upset because my dad flipped because shes throwing up oil everywhere. he locked her in her bed which is a dog crate. he was saying she was a bad dog and she was stupid and it really upset me because you’re not supposed to say that, even if she doesnt understand what we’re saying… she still hears the tone and anger in his voice. my dog is scared of him; she always walks behind the dining room table when he comes home, but if hes in a good mood she goes up and he pets her and he gives her treats…
the main point is, is my dog okay? i know my dad’s not going to call the vet, so don’t suggest that. is there something i can give her? when i let her in from outside to use the bathroom, she was chewing on a stick [she chews on alot of things lol]. she also went to the drawer where we keep her treats. what’s up?

She should be okay. I put vegetable oil on my show dogs’ food to make their coats shiny. You could give her a little Pepto Bismol (tablet form) to help settle her stomach. Just watch her for a couple of days, till she’s eating, drinking, and pooping normally…if she gets diarrhea for more than a day, get to the vet before she gets too dehydrated.

Ask you dad to make nice with the dog, or life around your house is going to be miserable.
