Dog Couch Alarm

My 2 year old gsd all of a sudden wants to jump on the bed?
I’ve had this dog two months. We go out for many walks a day, play fetch in the dog park and we include him in many things my girlfriend and I do. He’s been sleeping on his dogie bed by the foot of our bed with no problem. The other night he jumped in bed. We sent him to bed. He was obedient. Today I woke up early and was hanging out in the kitchen…No Lucky? He’s into something if he’s not following me around. I find him in bed, paws in the air. I laid on the couch he jumped on my chest to try to take a nap. I gave him the boot. I went to go do something in the garage. Luck parked right on my pillow. I don’t want to have to kennel him at night as he’s housebroken and not destructive. He’s our alarm system. I don’t know why this all of a sudden started to happen. Any ideas? How do I train him to stay down even when I’m not looking? Next thing you know I come in the room and Lucky’s laying in my bed, wearing my robe and drinking the last beer!
Keep correcting him over and over until he gets the idea that he is not allowed on the bed. Close the door to your bedroom if you want him to stay off the bed while you are not able to watch him closely. He is testing you and seeing how far you let him go. Yes, he wants to be near you but the floor is just as good right beside you. Make sure you have a comfortable bed for him to lay on.
