the fetching cat?
I have recently got a new kitten he is 6 mos old. He is my second kitty however, lately he’s decided to learn how to fetch (toy balls, candy rappers, luffas’ and ect…) it very cute. My question is: is it normal for a kitten to fetch just like a dog?????
I thought it was the breed of cat that did tricks like that; case being that I have only owned 2 cats in my whole life. So, I’m still learning about these intresting and delightful creatures. However, its great to know that It’s not unusual for a cat to fetch. Any suggestions on how to continue training him? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys! 
I now have my 3rd fetching cat! He is a street mutt that I rescued and so were the others so I don’t think it has anything to do with being pure bred.
When I was moving, this cat opened a folded box & took all the seed packets in it & moved them to another box! I don’t know why he didn’t like the arrangement I had but I let him do it just cuz it was so funny to watch him move a few hundred packs of garden seeds!
One cat I had also could jump up into the air & catch a superball in her mouth…5 feet off the floor.
Explore more tricks with this cat & you’ll find that they are more open to learning new things and will usually catch on faster than the average cat and they seem to enjoy pleasing us.
It is really funny to give them fresh catnip & then wind up McD’s kids toys {the ones that have arms, etc. that move & roll around} & watch them go crazy grabbing them & hiding them in some corner.
