Are there resources for training a dog that is both deaf and blind?
I have a six week old, male, Australian Shepard, that is both deaf and blind. I can find advise for training pertaining to only one affliction or the other. I need to contend with both. Luke is energetic, loving and appears to be very bright. I would like to train without confusing or frustrating him. Thanks for any assistance.
Oh, absolutely! I don’t have recourses at hand but I’ll bet that our following animal lovers will have them for you. You could start with the ASPCA & things like that. One method I have seen is a companion dog for your pup. I saw it on Animal Planet sooo woderful, this doggie’s pal led him everywhere & they were inseperable!
